Lakes 5 - Fairy Tales
Lakes 5 topic is fairy tales, some of their afternoons are based around Hansel and Gretel. In Art they started by going on a woodland sensory walk, there was lots of excellent vocabulary regarding how each texture felt on the children’s feet.
They then each made a collage using these materials, each one was unique!
Following this they all went to a woodland to do some bark rubbings on a variety of trees, they didn’t manage to find the gingerbread house though! Maybe next time after they have made some maps.
